Article Writing Ideas - How Going to the Movies Can Help You Write More Articles
Article writing ideas can be found at the movies. Here are some strategies for turning you movie going into articles.
The first time it hit me
The first time it hit me that the movies could be a great source of article ideas happened several years ago while watching "You've Got Mail!" There's a line from Tom Hanks when he says "Have you ever felt like you've become the worst possible version of yourself?"
Wow, what a great line, and what a great jumping off point for an article! I used it to write an article about motivation and change.
Some ideas from current movies
Here are a few article title ideas from three currently popular movies -
"7 Leadership Tips from Captain Jack Sparrow"
"Relationship Advice from Mr. & Mrs. Shrek"
"10 Stress Management Strategies from Peter Parker (Spiderman)"
So one question becomes how can you tie your topics to current movies? You can ride the coat tails of popular movies by using the titles in your title as well.
You can use a few lines from a movie and explain them. You can begin with a movie review and illustrate how the movie relates to your topic. Atlanta based marriage and family therapist Frank Pittman has had a column in The Family Therapy Networker that ties current movies to marriage and family issues.
Here's your formula - A movie you like + your topic = lots of article ideas.
So by your ticket, get your soda and popcorn, and write a few more articles.
